PURPOSE


The Television Production Technology program prepares students for careers in television production, broadcasting, camera operations, audio and video recording, and related media production fields. Through hands-on instruction, students develop the technical, creative, and professional skills needed to plan, produce, direct, record, and edit television and video productions while working safely and effectively as members of a production team.

Lighting, Audio
& Production Equipment

Gain hands-on experience using professional lighting, microphones, audio recording equipment, and production tools to create high-quality television and video productions. 

 

Video Editing
& Post-Production

Learn to organize, edit, enhance, and finalize video projects using industry-standard editing techniques, graphics, effects, and post-production workflows. 

 

Electronic News Gathering
& Field Production

Develop the skills needed to plan and produce on-location video projects through electronic news gathering (ENG), electronic field production (EFP), interviewing, and remote production techniques. 


Professional Production
& Career Readiness

Build teamwork, communication, problem-solving, leadership, and technical skills while following professional production standards and preparing for careers in television production, broadcasting, and digital media.
